Still on the fence about going to NCYC? Well, hear it from someone like you. We asked some young people we know who are more than excited to go to NCYC and are hoping to see YOU there!
Why are you excited to go to NCYC?
For NCYC this year, I am really looking forward to getting out of my comfort zone, trying new and different methods of prayer, and learning new things in my faith.

I am personally excited to go to NCYC because it is a great opportunity to grow in my faith and find something new in the conference as well as make new experiences. These new experiences will help me grow in my faith.

One thing I am looking forward to is connecting with youth ministries across the country. It is not really common that I get to meet, see, and talk to other people who think a lot like me.

Why should other young people go to NCYC?
Depending on what church we go to, we are exposed to different types of ministries. At my church, we have a youth ministry and Sunday school [where the same young people meet]. At NCYC, you get to meet other people from other churches and ministries who are there for the same reason: to encounter their faith.

Many other young people are looking into what their faith is or wanting to learn more about God or even discerning a call. In the workshops and activities at NCYC, they will learn a lot about their faith and what they are seeking. They will also develop their communication skills by interacting and communicating with other young people.

I think other young people should go to NCYC this year because it creates a powerful moment of praise. It is a national conference and thousands of people are coming together to worship God. For me that is beautiful.

What is one piece of advice for a young person coming to NCYC?
At least for me, I am going to go to NCYC with an open mind and an open heart to experience the fullness of the event.

Whether you know a lot or a little about NCYC, you should go because there aren’t any reasons why you shouldn’t go. Sometimes you have to take a leap of faith. We never know what we might encounter at NCYC and we might regret not going. Also, NCYC is a perfect opportunity to get out of your comfort zone.
